Vaonis Atlas + Twin 80mm tubes

Atlas Modular Smart Telescope from Vaonis simplifies celestial observation with automated alignment and tracking - no prior expertise necessary. Dual 80mm tubular imaging modules gather light from nebulae, galaxies, planets, and the moon, delivering crisp imagery to as many as ten connected phones or tablets. The app interface presents a local sky map for subject selection; Atlas handles positioning, pointing, and tracking, mirroring the precision of a dedicated astrophotography setup without the cumbersome gear or intricate setup. Place the telescope, open the app, and embark on a seamless journey through the cosmos.

A Complete Astrophotography Instrument

Atlas is a smart telescope: optics, camera, motorised mount and automatic pointing in a single instrument controlled from your smartphone. The deep-sky image builds in colour on your screen, minute after minute, revealing details impossible to see with the naked eye, even through a very large telescope. Each 80mm module is a four-lens apochromatic Petzval-style refractor with no mirror that creates images as sharp on the edges as they are in the centre. Its back-illuminated Sony IMX585 sensor, built for faint signal, generates 8.3MP images with 2.9µm pixels and mosaics up to 24MP.

Sky Guard Map

The Sky Guard camera captures the entire sky from horizon to horizon, both day and night, displaying stars as they appear to the naked eye. With Atlas, users can select a galaxy, nebula or the Moon, and the integrated GoTo technology automatically points to and tracks the chosen object, keeping it in frame while capturing images for stacking into a final result. Designed to perform well even in light-polluted urban areas, it stacks and processes exposures to reveal galaxies and nebulae, with an optional light-pollution filter available for faster results. Its Multi-Night Imaging feature automatically resumes targets across sessions, allowing exposures from multiple nights to accumulate into the same image with a simple tap on Resume.

Top Three Features: Vaonis Atlas Modular Smart Telescope - Twin 80mm Imaging Module

• Automated alignment and tracking: This feature streamlines the setup process, allowing users to begin observing the night sky without prior experience. By automating alignment and tracking, the telescope ensures celestial objects remain centred and sharp throughout observation sessions. This precision removes the frustration of manual adjustments, making astrophotography accessible to everyone.
• Dual 80mm tubular imaging modules: The twin 80mm modules gather ample light, capturing detailed images of nebulae, galaxies, planets, and the moon. Their advanced optical design ensures edge-to-edge sharpness, delivering high-quality results even in challenging conditions. This dual-module system enhances image clarity and depth, elevating the astrophotography experience.
• App interface with local sky map: The intuitive app interface provides a real-time sky map, simplifying the process of selecting celestial targets. Users can easily choose objects of interest, and the telescope automatically positions itself for optimal viewing. This seamless integration between hardware and software empowers users to explore the cosmos with confidence.
